Description:The Plaza Cinema, Nelson Place, Newcastle-under-Lyme, showing 'Last of the Mohicans'. Before opening as a picture house in 1910 this building was the Newcastle and Pottery Theatre.Mr Beresford purchased the Cinema Theatre in 1930 and changed its name to The Plaza. It became The Roxy in 1946 and closed in 1957. T and was replaced by an office building. Watercolour signed by Gordon M. Forsythe and dated 1943.
