Description:This watercolour by W. Richardson depicts Park House Colliery in Chesterton. One large pit head wheel can be seen in the foreground with another to the right in the middle distance. A tall chimney to the left is partly covered by white smoke coming from an outbuilding to the far right . Colliers can be seen to the right of the picture walking towards the mine shaft. Park House colliery was closed in 1969.
