Description:Pastoral landscape with a view of Newcastle-under-Lyme in the middle distance. Haymakers with a white horse and cart can be seen in the centre of the picture and two figures, a woman in a red dress and a man in a white smock can be seen walking in the foreground. The image is painted from a viewpoint high up on Keele Bank, possibly from the woods behind present day Paris Avenue. Artist unknown.
