Description:The Brighton was the name given to a row of old stone cottages that were situated very close to St. Lukes Church and the railway line in Silverdale, Newcastle-under-Lyme. By the time this photograph was taken some of the cottages were uninhabited and had been bricked up. The cottages were demolished in the early 1970s and have since been replaced by bungalows.
