Description:Taken in 1972 this photograph shows Liverpool Road in Newcastle-under-Lyme. A sign of the changing times the town has seen this photograph reveals the lack of parking for the increasingly popoular motor car. When the terraced houses pictured here were originally built no one owned a car but by the 1970s the roads were full of them and finding a parking space became increasingly problematic.
