Description:This Edwardian period dress is typical of the era.
It is full at the chest creating the ‘pigeon breast’ effect and slopes down at the back and front with a narrow waist that is emphasised by the black sash.
Although difficult to see on a standard mannequin this dress would have followed the popular S-curve silhouette of the time, with the help of the ‘health corset.’
The high neckline was also in fashion as did having dresses that went to the ankle.

This dress is in poor condition, especially around the sleeves as the thin material has weakened over time creating tears and holes, so unfortunately the sleeves are in danger of coming away from the dress.
