Date:1850 - 1900 (c.)

Description:The bicorn developed from the tricorn hat and is mostly associated with Napoléon Bonaparte, although most military generals and officers in Europe and America wore it throughout the nineteenth and early twentieth century.

The bicorn fell out of fashion after the First World War and is only worn presently for formal military wear.

The 'horns' on this hat are meant to be worn front to back instead of side to side like Napoléon’s hat.
