Description:At the turn of the century people started to move away from the extravagance of the previous decades, as the crinoline and bustle died away. Instead people went with a more A-line silhouette and to make the waist seem smaller leg o’mutton sleeves were introduced. This bodice is made of blue striped silk and has long fitted sleeves until the elbow and a small leg o'mutton top. The bodice is boned and would have been worn with a corset.
