Description:This photograph is thought to date to around the 1920s. It shows the inside of a school classroom. You can see that the children have been asked to sit up straight with their arms behind their backs; and they are all sitting at traditional wooden school desks. Friarswood School was located on Blackfriars road until 1969 it then moved to Abbots Way.
