Description:The Dolphin was at 43 Heathcote Street. The licensee at this time was Jacob Stanier and it is his wife, Elizabeth, standing in the doorway. The poster in the window is advertising the screening of two films released in 1934 - Lorna Doone and Little Men (starring Erin O Brian as Jo Marsh). At this time films were shown at the Valentine Cinema or the 'Val' on the corner of Liverpool Road and Valentine Road.
