Description:The Miners Rescue Team are pictured here in all of their equipment. The National Miners' Rescue Service was formed in the early part of the twentieth century. Training in the area took place either at the Rescue station in Stoke or at Berryhill colliery.

W. Clifford, the first Miners Rescue Superintendent in North Staffordshire, is pictured in the centre.
