Description:Whitmore Hall is a timber framed house that was enlarged and encased in brick in the 16th century. The Hall has been owned by the Mainwaring family for hundreds of years. The sanitaryware pioneer Thomas Twyford was a tenant at the hall for 30 years in the early part of the twentieth century. It is said he installed a unique bath during his stay, which has now been removed.
