Description:A painting by Chris Haynes of a reconstruction of the hall and barn taken from old photographs. The hall dated back to the the 16th century and was originally the home of the Brett family. The half timbered back of the hall is visible here. The front had a Dutch style brick frontage. The hall fell into disrepair and was demolished in 1940. The barn still stands and has been converted into a home.
