Description:This is a family photograph taken the day of Annie Beatrice Mosley's (seated in the centre) wedding to Alderman Richard Bartlett Mellard (left of Annie). This photograph was taken outside the family home, then known as 'the Firs', now known as the Brampton Museum and Art Gallery.

Annie's father, Ralph Mosley (right of Annie), ran the draper's shop on the high street and the Mellard's were ironmongers (William Mellard and his wife sat to the left of Richard). The little girl sat next to Richard is his two-year-old niece, Gwen Settle, and bridesmaid to Annie. The man standing above Richard is his best man Robert Cadwaller Trigger.

The wedding was very well attended, the church was full to the brim, as both family's were popular and well-known to the township both in trade and politics. Ralph Mosley had served as Mayor as had Richard and so would R.C. Trigger.
