Description:Syd Perkin and Edna Duffield were dance partners who won both British and European championships and were teachers and judges on the BBC's original 'Come Dancing' program in the 1950s. During the 1950s they opened 'Syds Bar', a bar and ballroom across from St Giles Church, on Church Street. They were married in 1968. Syd died in 1989 and Edna in 2008, aged 94.
