Description:These six cottages on Downing Street, Silverdale were demolished around 1936. There were a total of 16 people who lived in these houses, and on the photograph you can see four of them, most likely neighbours. Although this looks like a pleasant scene these houses were deemed substandard and were cleared as part of the local slum clearances.
