Description:This is the former power station that served the Midlands Electricity Board (MEB), the electricity board that provided for the midlands area. The MEB functioned from 1947 to 1990 when it was sold to Npower as part of the privatisation of power production and supply in the United Kingdom. It eventually ended up as part of the National Grid.
