Description:This is the Newcastle-under-Lyme High Street in 2001. The Woolworths Group collapsed as a result of the 2008 financial crisis. Lunn Poly was the largest chain of travel agencies in the UK. The company was eventually acquired by TUI in 2003, and the branches rebranded to 'Thompson' in 2004. Warner Village Cinemas were created by the Warner Bros. Cinema to rival Universal and Paramount's cinema chains. They were bought up by SBC International Cinemas in 2004 and rebranded to 'Vue' cinemas.
