Description:The Great Row View development in Wolstanton is built on the former spoil heap of Wolstanton Colliery.
The colliery was once the biggest employer in Newcastle-under-Lyme and boasted some of the deepest shafts in Europe. The mine itself closed in 1985 and was replaced by ASDA in 1989.
Developers started work on the spoil heap site in 2007.
