Description:Barclays Bank can be traced all the way back to two goldsmiths in 1690, and is one of the oldest banks in the United Kingdom. It gained its modern name in 1736. This photograph shows the bank whilst it was located on the Ironmarket, the bank moved to the High Street around 1985. The Newcastle-under-Lyme branch closed in 2023.
