Description:A plan showing the area surrounding New Street, those shaded grey were subject to a compulsory purchase order.
This included New Street, Minton Street, Wedgwood Street, High Street and Morris Square.
Problems with houses included sagging ceilings, roofs not being waterproof and decaying woodwork.
There were at least 40 objections to this compulsory purchase order.
