Description:Police Officer Bowers and his family lived in the police house on Clayton Road. The photograph shows Walter Bowers with his wife Rebecca Elizabeth, daughter Gladys and son Walter. Sadly Walter died of the measles aged only 26 years old. We think this was either taken behind his house or perhaps at the farm next door.
