Description:The photograph shows the back yards of numbers 32 to 38 on Church Street, Chesterton. These houses and many more in the surrounding area were demolished following the Housing Act of 1930. The poor quality of these houses is evident in the photograph. It must have been very dark inside these properties, the small windows would not have let in much natural light.
