Description:This photograph shows cramped back yards of houses on Bristol Street, Wolstanton. The net curtains are worn and a broken window pane indicate that the houses were not in a good state of repair. Above the backdoor is an upturned horseshoe for good luck. These houses were demolished in the 1930s under the terms of the Housing Act, 1930,.
